About Darin Williams
I am an amateur photographer and digital artist. My passion is photography and, especially, travel photography. I love to capture ancient architecture, as well as modern. Turbulent, partially cloudy skies are a favorite because these seem to add drama to photos of buildings against the backdrop.
I grew up in the Midwest and have lived in Germany a total of 9 years and still have a great attachment to that country (my adult children still live there). I call Missouri my home. I am especially fond of traveling in Italy, particularly Rome and northward from there. You will also see many photos of my travels right here in our great United States as well as in Germany and France.
An inspiration to travel was brought to life in me by my parents' annual driving vacations when I was a child. It was further fostered by my experiences in the military. I am a veteran of two branches of the service: US Air Force, where I spent three years in Germany and Missouri Army National Guard for which I was deployed to Kosovo (a part of the former Yugoslavia). Those professional travels have helped to instill an appreciation for travel and for the beauty of other countries, peoples and cultures.
